What to Expect at Your First Taekwondo Class

A simple checklist for your first visit to Woodbridge Taekwondo — what to wear, where to park and how class works.
Starting martial arts can feel unfamiliar. Here is what most new students experience on night one.
Arrive a few minutes early
Training is at Toronto District Christian High School (TDChristian), 377 Woodbridge Avenue, Woodbridge, ON L4L 2V7. Visitor parking is available in the school lot. Enter through the main entrance used for evening programs and look for Woodbridge Taekwon-Do signs.
What to wear
Athletic clothing and water are enough for a free trial week. You do not need a uniform for your first visits. Socks or bare feet are typical on the training floor — follow instructor guidance.
How class usually runs
Expect a warm-up, basic techniques, simple patterns and character-focused instruction. Instructors will place beginners appropriately so you are never left guessing.
